September 15, 2017 - Corked, two in a row. Sad face.

September 13, 2016 - Decanted 1-2 hrs. Blue/black fruit profile with cigar box notes. Fresh but also integrated and not terribly tannic, but enough. A nice wine, particularly with food (pot roast tonight), but not a blockbuster, so drink now or over the next five years.

December 25, 2015 - Decanted for 1.5 hours. Deep purple in color. Very long legs. Nose of oak, leather and some vanilla. Flavor of rich currants, eucalyptus, black pepper. Lots of tannin left to keep this wine going for many more years. Enjoyed for Christmas dinner with steak tenderloins, portobellos and cognac cream sauce, and it did not disappoint.

December 23, 2015 - Excellent, absolutely brilliant and would have kept much longer. 14.5% alc.
Colour: very deep dense black berries
Bouquet: rich black fruits and olives, raspberries, coffee, old leather, slight jamminess, pencil shavings
Palate: similar flavours to bouquet, plums, blueberries, cedar, huge body, big soft mouth puckering fine grained tannins, big alcohol, very long and very dry acidic finish. Maybe needs more time to integrate the acid more. Softens a little with breathing.

July 8, 2012 - Rich and full as expected from this vintage. Open and decanted for two hours before consumption. Well balanced plum, currant and blackberry balancing cedar, cigar box and pencil shavings. Mineral medium plus finish. Delicious and a great qpr. I wish I had more.
