June 20, 2015 - This was drinking beautifully for its life cycle--probably no need for more cellar time. Perfumed nose of spice and garrigue. with light black fruit--perfect balance with soft tannins and pleasant acid to match our mixed grill. Nice finish. I will miss this wine.

October 16, 2012 - Liked this at room temperature - a bit closed down when cool. Tannins integrated. Some acidity. Dark fruits that are dry as a bone with tea leaves and cedar on the finish.

February 6, 2012 - Odd notes on the palate, perhaps leather? Very hard to pin down. Tannins are integrated, but fruit is just vaguely dark, can't pick out specific favors.

December 25, 2011 - This was the third of 5 wines we drank at Christmas this year and it was delicious. It was delightfully floral with really great earth tones laced throughout. It was very well balanced and ready to drink. We didn't drink it with the food but dang it was good. Enjoy!

April 7, 2011 - Better developed than the last bottle in terms of smoothness, but it really has started to show some strange eccentricities that aren't all pleasant. Particularly in the whip strong liquorice streak and more prominent alcohol. Too much for me. Others might dig this though.

March 7, 2011 - Really, really good--grand even, given the appellation. The wait was absolutely worth it. Like an entry-level CdP from a great producer. Didn't take any official notes, but remember wishing I had a magnum of this stuff when I was pouring the last of the 750 ml's. Definitely a worthy must-buy vote if one came across it again.

December 21, 2009 - I didn't seem to like this as much as everyone else, there was a stewed fruit component on the palate that took me by surprise. I prefer the regular 'cuvee unique' CDR bottling. A little big for me, lacked freshness.
