December 15, 2019 - Cork was cracked but held together during extraction--phew. Vinturi'd and decanted ~45 minutes. Still drinking nicely. Very smooth and integrated red fruits and aromatics. Not mind-blowingly complex but no flaws either.

April 19, 2017 - Last bottle. Held onto to it for a couple of years. Drinking very well but I wouldn't wait any longer. Nice, smooth Syrah. Well done.

November 15, 2015 - A very interesting Syrah. Significant floral notes (from the Viognier, I assume). A bit of cinnamon, spice, bing cherry. Not too heavy, nice concentration, good acidity, and still a touch of tannin. Good food wine and like I said, just very interesting.....

October 16, 2014 - Enjoyed after a big CA Cab so nothing formal except that the Viognier aromatics lift this red up and your senses take notice. At this stage in perfect balance. Not the massive fruit when young that was in conflict with the tannins. Can drink alone but is at a perfect point to pair with food. Have one more left and cant wait to make this bottle the showcase.

September 1, 2014 - Not much has changed since last tasting a couple of months ago. I think this has seen its best days and should start drinking it up.

April 12, 2014 - Popped and poured. It's been over 2 1/2 years since I had a bottle of this vintage. Today it is much lighter that previous notes and a bit fruitier. Nice drinking wine but fell short of a Buty Beast Syrah Clone (2010).

March 22, 2014 - Dark and opaque but not inky. Fresh, medium intensity nose, blackberry and cherry fruit, pure, not jammy, some hints of meat, brus. Fresh and medium bodied on the palate, juicy, with fine dry tannins, lots of cherry, berry acidity, not overly deep or complex, but works well with my pork chop in a red wine, dried mushroom reduction. Very tasty, and very well balanced, but I wished for some more character.

September 18, 2013 - I'm very impressed with this wine. Definitely more european in style. Less like Port (big sugar bomb), more like Hermitage....and that's what I looking for. Very good!
