    April 21, 2023 - 3rd bottle drunk, the last in 2022.

Always the same juicy bottom with a beautiful maturity and aromas of tobacco. Spicy and full finish. On the other hand, the cork is starting to show signs of weakness.

April 17, 2022 - Spicy nose, undergrowth and black fruits intermingle.

3rd bottle of this wine that I particularly appreciate.

The mouth is juicy and deep. This bottle has a bright fruit, it appears less evolved than the 2 others with always this blood background however. Balanced, with an acidity and a juice that respond to each other with harmony, the complexity of the aromas is revealed with aeration with sweet spices that dominate on a tobacco background. Great finish on the leather with pleasant tannins that open up to a nice length.

Confirmation that this wine is excellent and far from tired.

April 29, 2021 - (from a second bottle of my case)

Nose blending aromas of cherry, redcurrant, leather and undergrowth.

The palate is tasty, with a concentrated but serene juice. The aromas of leather and tobacco appear on the palate, alongside a fruit that is still very much alive. The wine is balanced and the patina of time offers a touch that remains frank but velvety. There is still a nice acidity underlying the whole. The finish is bloody and crunchy at the same time.

    It’s just great.

January 22, 2021 - delicious notes of leather, tobacco and spices.

The mouth is sanguine and franck. Large, loose and tempered by the years, the fact remains that this is a rich wine with its 14.5 °. The tobacco and leather aromas largely dominate with a very nice balance which gives the wine great drinkability. Intense spicy finish with polished tannins that allow the length to stretch remarkably.

    Very nice wine

January 5, 2013 - Yes, what yeti said. Exactly what Yeti said, except, that is, that this is still tannic as hell. Gorgeous on the nose and palate, but searingly dry. Needs another 5 years of bottle rest, maybe 10. Superb. Cork soaked 1/4 through, moderate sediment, and very little sign of age/bricking. 14,5% abv, drink thru 2027
