August 16, 2015 - Took a little while to fully blossom. An elegant, restrained vintage with a nice mix of red and brambly fruits with slightly grainy tannins. Nice minerality as well.
I don't think this is going to improve and would drink it rather now.

June 17, 2011 - The second of these I've had where the label says 2002, but the cork is branded 2001 - I guess the cork is right. Whatever, the wine is sensational, red fruited, sensually perfumed, but with spice and earth, and umpteen layers. For all its light body and floatiness, this is a powerful wine too.

March 27, 2011 - Gulp! Even better than last night's Maume. Somehow this manages to be beautiful with its cherry fruit and sap, and yet substantial with its earth and iron, and the flavours swirl round and go on and on. Thrilling. Since hearing about Fourrier's problems in 2001, I've had nothing but stunners from that vintage.

June 23, 2010 - Pale, browning, but beautiful, ethereal strawberry scent, sappy, and then some game, light and floaty - very lovely

November 23, 2009 - A faint whiff of TCA here. Otherwise, bright, and red fruited, plusher than past bottles.

May 31, 2009 - Medium ruby core, wide pale ruby rim. Strawberrry, red cherry fruit on nose, but also quite developed with spice and hints of undergrowth. Medium, bodied, mature, mellow and lightly gamey on the palate, tannins fully integrated, spice, vanilla, then fresh acidity caryying a medium/good length finish. Mature and perfectly balanced, harmonious. Don't see any point in holding this any longer. Very good.

April 19, 2008 - A lovely bottle. Not terribly complex, but extremely fragrant, with a a strong earth component in the nose along with some spice and tart red fruits like cranberry or pomegranate. Smooth and medium bodied on the palate, but with a light frame of somewhat rustic tannin and a bright acidity which grips the palate. Long finish for its level with notes of dried orange, cocoa powder and herbs. I'm sad this is my last bottle. Incredible class for a village wine, even if it's class in a sort of Morey-country style.

November 10, 2007 - Daft ninth bottle, when we'd already drunk too much, but this was on form, herbs, game and fruit, light and fragrant (and much better than Thursdays Cherbaudes)

October 27, 2007 - Pale and light bodied, but persistently fragrant, gamey and mature tasting, actually a bit spirity, complex
