April 12, 2010 - lovely fresh and tart; full mouth; subdued citrus, pineapple/pear predominate; held its own with Indian food; nice chard

April 2, 2010 - Well they say that the last mouthful is the best and certainly my last bottle of this wine was a distinct throwback to some of my earlier bottles - well rounded good VFM

March 18, 2010 - For some time this has been one of my favourite entry level SA Chardonnays and previous scores have been higher. However the wine now seems to be fading a little as it matures - still a lovely oaky edge to the fruit but the fruit itself has lost its tropical intensity and complexity - still pretty nice wine though

January 30, 2010 - Impressive as hell for the money ($13). We had a Kistler chard that cost 10x this recently, and I thought this was nearly as good. Acid, fruit, oak all in great balance, good complexity.

August 14, 2009 - Pretty good, but not as good as the Artesa we had along side it. Interesting taste profile...a bit oily, some tart citrus, mineral, grass. Seemed a bit disjointed, but still a nice quaffer.

May 31, 2009 - Nose: citrus, grass, hints of vanilla (not tropical fruits and makes sense b/c checked and oaked in French wood), a little petroleum whiff as well, some melon
Taste: nice acidity but less than the strong citrus hints on nose promise which is nice, well rounded and full flavored w/o any overoaking, some pear-ish and softer acid fruits
Nutshell: very clean and refreshing chard, for $17 a very good deal

March 22, 2009 - As good as ever but don't over chill - becomes angular and the wood comes through.

December 28, 2008 - Christmas drinking; 12/24/2008-12/28/2008 (Hong Kong): Served in black glasses alongside a barbera at cellar temp. Oak was coming through but as good as usual.

December 15, 2008 - This had softened by day 2, but still had good balance.
