November 11, 2023 - A great bottle. Layers of aromas from sweet cherries under spirit to tertiary leather, black spices, coffee, balsamic. Great structure in the mouth, warming alcohol but not cloying, with fruit weight and concentration, full body, integrated at this point. Flavors recall the aromas with good length and persistence. Hint fo mineral as well. Drink now and enjoy the sweet fruit remaining.

June 13, 2020 - Developed, rich, dark maraschino cherries, chocolate, long length. Delicious - drank instead of pudding!

    January 6, 2018 - Alc: 15%
Deep brown mahogany; Fairly intense aromas of dried undergrowth, stewed compote with molasses, very umami, marmite. A little earthy with rather tired fruit.
Robust entry with a generous alcohol kick, loads of raisin, dried Xmas cake fruit, marmite, chocolate and liquorice. There is a delightful toffee fudge/black treacle texture with some dried spices and bags of umami flavours overriding.
The palate shows better than the nose with plenty of complexity, some density to a richly textured wine packed with molasses, soy and balsamic. A weighty solid Amarone, with spicy oak as the wine unfolds and good depth of fruit, thick granular tannins, Xmas pudding wrote all over it. It is perhaps slipping off its drink by window but did get better in glass.

December 1, 2017 - Great bottle! Dark Berrys, chocolate, plums, raisins, mouldering leafs. Long great aftertaste. On the top, drink up before it's to late!.
