May 18, 2016 - Used as cooking wine. Way over the hill

May 1, 2013 - Probably past its prime. Still pretty good, though: spinach stuffed ravioli with grilled vegetables and grated reggiano. Too bad it didn't age well...

January 1, 2012 - Again, the fruit was mostly gone in this bottle and it was strongly honey flavored. Used most of it for cooking.

November 6, 2010 - Oaky butter usually isn't my style, but this one had enough apple and citrus fruit to balance it out nicely. A hint of crushed rock too. Should have bought more at closeout price from Winex.

September 10, 2010 - Elegant and pleasant. Bottle open about an hour. Light faintly spicy cooling nose. In the mouth silky or creamy but not glycerin-ish with ripe just slightly sweet fruit (a mix of light lemon, nectarine, and golden apple) with a smooth and fading finish. Dryish to off-dry. Body medium, acid medium.

August 24, 2010 - Wow, this bottle was so different from when we liked this wine at a blind tasting a year ago. The fruit has checked out! Lots of honey with a bit of butterscotch and some apricot notes. Smooth and easy to drink, but might be on its way out. Unless this bottle was an outlier.... we'll see.
