April 12, 2024 - We were treated with this wine by a friend. The color was brick in color with aromas of mushroom and some fruit. On the palate this wine had layers of flavor that included leather, cherry and spice. The tannins were very smooth and alcohol was low ending with a medium finish. Extremely balanced and still drinking wonderfully. A treat to drink such an old wine.

April 10, 2024 - 95 Un vino extraordinario.

Alucinante!!!

May 9, 2023 - An elegant, refined Rioja with muted fruit and just enough acid to give the wine life. Held up nicely to a Korean marinated steak meal Would suggest decanting for an hour or more as it was very flat initially. What makes this wine still worthy despite its age is the smooth and long finish.

August 28, 2020 - Viscous, dark and dense red. Loads of lovely old Rioja aromas, with sweet tobacco, leather, old wood, mushrooms and forest floor. Intense and long. Despite the old aromas, the fruit is still dominating, so I guess this will keep for at least another decade.
