March 15, 2024 - Strong showing. Still fruitful, tannins resolved, just the right amount of funk. Drink now.

February 19, 2023 - The garrigue runs strong! The fruit is ripe and mature. Tannins are still a bit fierce. Overall a very nice wine, but a bit raw. I wonder if it will mellow with age, but I'm not sure. Worth keeping a while to see if it mellows. It has power but lack mellow.

94 vvPunkte www.vvwine.ch

December 24, 2022 - Fabulous wine drunk from magnum for christmas eve. Still lots of nice tannins and fresh taste. Opned 3 hours in advance. Could hold for at least 5 more years

March 5, 2022 - Looks like this is seven out of a case…. Well night one was…

    Underwhelming.

    Unyielding, tight and clipped.

    Tonight
Dark fruits, very deep and rich with a touch of smoke. My quick synopsis is pop this hours before drinking and decant! It’s a tremendous wine that still has years to go. Should last to 2030-2035.

February 28, 2022 - 60% Grenache, 30 Mourvèdre. Made according to organic farming practices.

Clear, medium ruby, significant fading at rim

Quite subtle and evolved. Hints of strawberry jolly rancher and black cherry. Oak notes of balsamic, meat and smoke.

Tannins are chalky and quite bitter and the alcohol remains unintegrated, burning the throat like a shot of cheap vodka.

Flavours are surprisingly pleasant, though quite linear and focused on black cherry and candied strawberry and marred by alcohol on the finish.

March 21, 2021 - 2007 Domaine de Cristia CdP "Renaissance" is dark and brooding. Dark fruit, grilled herbs, earth. An amazing mouthfeel with dusty tannins and very mineral and lengthy finish. This is drinkable now, but will continue to improve over the next few years.

December 13, 2020 - So concentrated, and not showing it's age at all. Blackberry liqueur, cassis, nutmeg, a hint of garrigue. Great structure and clearly a wine that's built to last, this would have scored higher but the dark fruits dominate here, not as much secondary characteristics showing as you see in the best CdPs. Still a nice value and worth it for under $100.

October 13, 2020 - Blackberry extract, sharply textured with exotic herbs and incense, and plenty of tannins remaining. Riveting wine.
