August 19, 2021 - Medium-bodied, firm, rustic, lean, tannic styled wine with a strong, cedar, pepper, leafy, tobacco filled character that accompanies the bright, sharp, crisp, red fruit. This is probably just slightly past full maturity and is already gently declining. It should be noted however that the wines coming from Lynch Moussas today and dramatically better.

October 10, 2020 - Woody, inky, stable house, gamy on nose, with forest floor, highly toasted oak's coffee flavours, dried red cherry and black plum, exotic spices in the finish. The elder tannin is nearly fragile, high acidity due to a portion of VA.
Should be consumed five years ago.

March 17, 2020 - Wine night @ CHL: Black berries, some leather and oak. Quite tannic. Tasted much younger than a 1995. This is holding up well. Not bad

December 28, 2019 - This is young for a 24 year old wine. Had aromas of boot polish, leather, blackberries, plums+cedar. Its medium bodied solid black fruits, oak and leather palate had nice delineation, acidity and medium length. Love the low alcohol at 12.5%. Is not profound but can keep for another 5 years. Needs a 3hr decant.

December 27, 2019 - Decanted an hour and it opened up nicely. Dark fruit with twigs, minerality and a nice finish.
