January 2, 2022 - Nez très sauvage, buis, un peu avancé... Très belle acidité, pomme verte, belle longueur 20 secondes, délicieux!

February 9, 2021 - 20 year old Sauv Blanc. Initially whiff of smoke, followed shortly by an explosion of lychee. it's like lychee galore, with crushed stone minerality. Tasty and geeky all in one bottle. Lovely.

March 28, 2015 - BYO (Østerbro): Dry and woolly flavors. Lots of minerality but also plenty of fruit left.
    Works nice with aged cheeses.

August 14, 2011 - Medium gold. Was worried it might be over the hill, but no problems here. Complex nose, seems to shift back and forth between butter, flinty mineral notes, and gooseberry. Palate similar, some evidence of barrel-aging, but the oak is well-integrated, and the predominant impression is of an incredibly structured wine. Juicy lime and gooseberry notes mingle with stony minerality and a touch of oak tannins. Incredibly pure - laser-like focus and clarity. The finish seems to last for minutes. Wow!

February 27, 2011 - Golden, clear and shimmering. The bouquet is intense yet airy with quiet grapefruit pith and subtle dried white floral notes dancing on a foundation of explosive minerality and bright stoniness. The wine is oxidative and mature in it's development. The palate is light and refreshing with an acid profile that is at once searing yet quickly turns soft. Flavors follow the nose with lemon rind, grapefruit oil, savory honey, sweet herbs with the backbone of crushed rock and a lifting minerality. Complexity, finesse and an airy power wrapped in citrus-stone. Wow.

January 1, 2011 - Actually 82 at it's QPR point. I opened this initially about 10 days ago, and continued tasting it through several days, stoppered and vacuumed, hoping it would come round. Although it's not bad, I have had many many other sauvignon blanc based Loire wines that blow this away, and are 1/5 to at most 1/3 the price. Some minerality, some quince and grapefruit, some lemon-lime notes, but not integrated.

May 8, 2010 - At first I thought this had faded with its age, but this was beautiful. aromas of lime and tangerine with a luscious medium bodied mouthfeel. Taste was incredible with so much depth and lots of interesting lime, citrus, green apple and mineral flavors. This could easily last a few more years. One of a few bottles of wine that I was left genuinely longing for more when it was all gone. Right on par with Silex quality but subtly different. They are both incredible SBs. Do not serve very cold for full experience. I wish I could buy everything available of dagueneau's top tier wines.

October 11, 2008 - Pulled from vinotemp and popped and poured into Riedel Reisling/SB glasses. Big high toned, honeyed nose of minerals and a little earth. Super clean tart fruit with minerals and citrus in the mouth. Just the slightest hint of sweetness. Very good acid. Outstanding purity and depth of fruit. Clean medium length minerally finish. Clean, clean, and pure, pure. Some of the best SB I've had. Dagueneau is a genius. Better than the last bottle. Might go longer, but really good now.
