Community Tasting Notes 5

April 7, 2021 - That smells tasty. With a touch of medicinal funk to it. And still lively on the palate. At $35 it still kinda works it out.

July 15, 2018 - Deep garnet with a violet nose. Dark cherry, a hint of wood, and grippy tannins extend into a lengthy, balanced finish. It's a pleasure to enjoy a well-made, 13-year-old barbera. A classic, medium-bodied Italian red, drinking in its prime. Hat tip to winemaker Roberto Damonte.

November 18, 2011 - No formal notes taken. Red fruit driven with good acid, but a hair short on the finish. Textbook Barbera but expecting a bit more from this producer.

February 20, 2010 - Minneapolis Food & Wine Show (Convention Center): Notes from memory. Nose: Very fragrant and floral (lavender). Palate: Good counter balance of acidity and deep plum flavors. A very clean and somewhat lengthy finish for a Barbera. Probably the best Barbera I have had (apparently this wine is made from 45 year old vines). Well made.

December 31, 2009 - Dyp og briljant fiolettrød. Duft av kirsebær, krydder og fat. Middels fyldig vin med fin syre og diskrete tanniner. Smak av syrlige kirsebær og med et tydelig fatpreg. Grei lengde.
