August 1, 2020 - This is a big sauv blanc, with plenty of tropical fruits, pineapple, ripe jalepeno, a touch of jack fruit, durian, cream soda, and a dollup of oak; very plush, creamy, rich; not my style, but well made and decadent. At Hiro's backyard.
March 19, 2012 - Overly alcoholic and a heavy hand of oak. Totally takes away from the semillion and sauvignon blanc characteristics that should be there.
September 6, 2010 - Lots of lemongrass and fig, lime and a very nice and spicy finish. Was riper-edged but also held together quite well. Enjoyed this.
July 4, 2010 - Very nice. Out shined the 2009 Merry Edwards I put it up against.
June 18, 2010 - Misc CA tasting at Kenneth: Nose: Lots of oak, heavily toasted hazelnut.
Palate: Yellow plum fruit, liquorice and vanilla. Lacks complexity and the use of oak overpowers the fruit.
May 13, 2010 - More fruit driven SB than mineral, though nice balance. Really delicious SB. Ready to drink.
April 18, 2010 - Very tasty, a great substitute (of equivalent quality) for the Peter Michael sb/sem blend...
March 14, 2010 - This is not your typical cheap acidic grapefruit bomb (and the price reflects that too). Balanced very well with 20% Semillon, lovely fresh nose of grass with a hint of citrus. Weighty mouthfeel, with just enough acid to be clean and refreshing, no pucker. Pairs extremely well with cheese.
June 15, 2009 - I'm not much of a white wine drinker, but can say this is a fantastic wine. Drank over dinner with crab cakes. Light yellowish-gold in color. Nose has hints of granny smith apple, flower blossoms. Light to medium body, crisp and deftly balanced. Flavors of citrus oil, granny smith apple. A really beautiful wine.
