March 14, 2024 - Bon Vivant described this perfectly. Not as complex as other ZH VT’s, but enjoyable with Indian food tonight. Will save my last bottle for a few years.

May 5, 2023 - Have not had this 07 VT before, and in fact no HdT PG VT from any year in my recollection. This bottle was nice and rich, with dark color and enjoyable but not as monumental as some of the other VT's from ZH. It went down easy as a foil to some Foie Gras pate, but on it's own a little simpler then you would expect. I would not expect much more development here so drink em if you got them.

February 4, 2023 - Birthday lunch (Porcine, Oxford Street): From half bottle. Wood glue, marzipan, a little volatility, very pear fruit. Juicy acdity lends freshness, toffee, a little apple, sweet though it finishes a touch bitter. Hmm.

November 7, 2020 - Deep orange gold. Apricot, caramel, marmalade, baked apple, apple skin, sweet spices. Pretty complex. Not that heavy, which makes it rather easy to drink. Good length. The marmalade is quite prominent on the finish, and the bitterness of the marmalade makes a nice counterpoint to the sweetness. Drink this very cold. Very good by itself, and excellent with foie gras.

July 19, 2020 - Christmas in July (Ben and Estella's place, Parramatta): From half bottle. Toffee, apricot, pear, slightly savoury meaty notes that translate to the palate, a little glue, marginally caramelised lemon and lime, pear and pear skin with a meaty underpin. Balanced sugar and acid. Perhaps a little forward for its age. Okay

November 27, 2019 - From a half bottle. Nice medium copper-gold colour. On the nose, aromas of peach, candy floss, tea, pumpkin and botrytis-rubber. With air, a touch of wax, smoke and honey. On the palate, the attack is frank followed by nice fruit carried by diminishing acidity and increasingly bitterness. A good length. The wine has a nice complexity, but as others have noted, I also preferred this a few years go. It seems to have hardened a bit with the increased bitterness. Still very enjoyable, I may just prefer it on the younger side. Initially 91, but today 90, mostly from the complexity on the nose - the mouth being a little less welcoming that it was back in 2014.

To my surprise, this one aged more gracefully and towards more complexity than the Clos Jebsal VT of the same vintage and ultimately, I think I prefer, though it is in a completely different style. 90

Still good though, but I don't expect I'll keep my last bottle much longer - it will probably be drunk in the next couple of years. March 25, 2018 - Almost dark orange color--very interesting; good, very rich, color doesn't reflect any fault other than a bit more advanced than should be. peach cobbler, baked apples, good lift in the end. at Lost at Sea

January 23, 2010 - Not as good as the first time I had this. Tons of botrytis here, sweetness very well controlled, still really excellent but not as incredible as I remembered.

August 27, 2009 - A Trip to the Sampler (The Sampler, London): Absolutely beautiful. Stunning balance, mind-blowing intensity, very unctuous. Just...so glorious I didn't think about tasting notes, I just bought a bottle straight away. £20 for a half bottle, hell yes.
