April 22, 2021 - Deep amber color. Incredible depth with rich, earthy, dried apricots abd a long, long finish. A small taste goes a long way. I just love this desert wine.

November 3, 2018 - Deep apricot...so succulent. All at the Wine Club thought it amazing. Great wine if you can find it.

March 26, 2018 - This is a wow wine. DCWine’s note is on point, to which I might add Tanzer’s observations of glycerol honey. I prefer this to many younger Yquem’s. The acidity is just a wonderful cutting acidity as a counterbalance to the visceral sweetness.

July 12, 2017 - Usannsynlig viskøs og søt pinot gris med rosin, stikkelsbærsirup, kokos, mineralitet, røyk og blomst på duft. Intens også i munnen, med gjennomtrengende sødme og såvidt balanserende syre. Flott vin.

February 17, 2017 - Another lost Friday afternoon gathering – Provenance, Power of Blind tasting and loving M. Gibourg CV (Charlie Palmer - Washington DC): Beautiful medium golden color. Very ripe and very sweet nose, raisin, apricot, apricot preserve, baking spices, orange peel and honey. 10W40 yet magically airy, apricot preserve and honey driven palate impression, bright acidity, good mineral expression and a long extremely sweet finish. It is intense and super concentrated. It feels only slightly heavy. This should go well with a salty blue or an aged strong firm cheese. I prefer SGNs young for its bright and fresh fruit, i.e. peach and pear vs apricot.
