Community Tasting Notes 10

June 30, 2018 - At tasting. Brief note. This wasn't as sweet smelling as the other late picked Zins. Deep dark berries with some cedar and an odd note of dill. Much more structured and serious than the other late picked wines. Still has a while to go so it seems.

July 25, 2016 - Dull, tasting of alcohol, prunes, and blackberries. There's enough structure, spice, mocha and smoke to handle some spicy pulled pork but little interest otherwise; this tastes like a jammy Shiraz with one foot in the grave. Compares poorly to a '99 late picked York Creek Zin I opened last time I fired up the smoker.

November 16, 2014 - Still drinking like a much younger late picked Nervo; nice!

July 31, 2009 - Full of fruit with good balance and structure, nice complexity. Rich and ripe.

February 11, 2007 - A bit alcoholic. Had some big-zin quality to it, but as others have mentioned, I think this is ending it's run - the finish drops out really quickly.
