August 1, 2022 - Coravin at Riesling Haus in Bernkastel.

A bit too sweet-focused but it does have the acidity. Great flowery nose but the palate is a lot of sweet, ripe tropical fruits, peach and apricot with honey, but I’m missing just a tad more acidity.
Up against the Willi Schaefer Domprobst Spätlese #5 2009 it just wasn’t as good.

January 3, 2015 - Opened this wine for a gathering with close friends tonight at home.

Wine opened with a kerosene and lime nose. On the palate the wine was dense and somewhat concentrated.

We paired this with a brownie cake and ice-cream.

July 13, 2010 - German Riesling Seminar Series with Ewald Moseler (Spätlese) (Liner & Elsen): Lots of blood orange on the nose, coupled with slate, lemon, and a fairly large thick presence overall, trailing at the end with a strange funky metal shavings thing. Medium-full bodied on the very creamy palate, with some strange greenness and somehow the flavors of a sugar cube, but not its sweetness. Some plenty of green apple into the finish, but also some slight green asparagus.

June 11, 2008 - Grosser Ring Tasting of 2007 wines from the Nahe, Mosel, Saar and Ruwer (German Embassy, London): A very minerally nose. Nothing wrong on the palate. There's a good gentle sweetness and a good acidity to balance it. But overall, it's not really exciting me.
