Community Tasting Notes 6

April 12, 2011 - Too much acid and out of balance. Fruit is okay with currant and plum notes, but back of palate a bit astringent with a short finish.

June 3, 2009 - Better on the second night. okay balance, some fruit, some oak. Take to a party with cheap wine drinkers.

March 27, 2009 - Serious pass on this.

February 21, 2009 - Overblown and fruity, but at least no harshness. You could spread this on toast, but you'd want to use burned toast. I suppose for a barbeque of red meat it could be a "stand up to it" libation. Anyway, at the price, if you want a deep, fruity red wine, it is okay. My wife said it tastes like port. Bad port.

January 23, 2009 - Tasted on second night of having been opened with a vacuum pump. Pretty consistent with previous tasting. Deep dark color, tight nose. Palate shows dark fruit to plum with firm tannins.
