February 9, 2011 - Decanted briefly, balanced. Little fruit more tobacco and leather characteristics. Good for the price
August 31, 2009 - Popped and poured. Would have benefitted from at least a brief decant. Still some fruit, but not much. Seems to have developed a few secondary characteristics--leather, tar, etc. Not bad, but not a knock-your-socks-off kinda wine either.
October 2, 2006 - Very nice with Lamb Chops. Quite drinkable on it's own.
September 24, 2005 - Sediment present. Average.
March 19, 2005 - Opened this bottle approximately one hour before dinner, and by the time the rib roast hit the table it had opened up nicely. The wine is dark brick red, with a nose of coffee, chocolate, cedar, and earth. Very mild tannins, long finish. I would definitely purchase this wine again.
March 4, 2005 - Deep ruby colour, medium at the rim. Weak aromas. Blackcurrant, plum and vanilla on the palate. Some sediment. Past it’s best. Average
November 19, 2004 - Deep ruby colour, medium at the rim. Fruity and vanilla aromas. Blackcurrant, plum and vanilla on the palate. Prolonged length. No sediment. Good. May be past it’s best.
December 20, 2003 - Very dark ruby colour. Fruity and vanilla aromas. Blackcurrant, cherry and vanilla on the palate. Prominent tannins, so should age ok. Prolonged length. Good.
