April 7, 2020 - Pop 'n pour from 55 degree cellar. Nose of tobacco and brambly black fruit. Bracing and lively acidity. Cranberries and black tea flavors. Tannins are a bit dry. Very enjoyable.

April 7, 2020 - definitely showing age with bricking and somewhat reserved fruit, but definitely the best bottle I've had...it has taken a long time to come around. Surprised it took so long

March 30, 2020 - Popped, breathed in bottle 4 hours, consumed over next two hours. The nose on this was incredible right from the pop. On the palate, when I first tasted upon opening, I had some misgivings. 4 hours of slow ox later, the palate had transformed and was beginning to deliver on the promise of the incredible aromatics. Took about 30 more minutes in the glass for everything to come forward, play in absolute harmony and provide a memorable Brunello experience. Intense, yet weightless, complex, beautifully balanced with mouth watering acidity, with an expanding and lingering finish. Still, I feel this wine is just beginning to show tertiary development, so I suspect it has even more to give. If I had another bottle, I'd love to revisit and see how it develops over the next five years.

March 29, 2020 - A bit raisiny. Purchased on release, stored properly, cork perfect but this seemed advanced beyond expectations... not sure what to think.

March 26, 2020 - Decanted. Large dry. Sour cherries and eucalyptus.
