September 2, 2020 - Drank this at Kam Boat with my wine mates. Theme of the night: Wines that start with B.

A modern take on Brunello. Dark brooding purple in colour with notes of violets, blueberries, cherries and a touch of varnish. Good structure and well crafted.

August 11, 2020 - Surprised how much the missus and I enjoyed. Questioned buying a case 5+ years ago, but this has morphed into a full-bodied wine with dark integrated fruit, fairly smooth, good nose, nice finish. Glad to have 9 more.

July 19, 2020 - Fantastic, served on the cool side, opened up pretty quickly.

July 17, 2020 - Trying this one in 2014 it was a really gorgeous Brunello so I kept 4 bottles for enjoying further development. I regret having waited till 2019. It's by far over the top, getting a sherry-like touch. Lesson learned.

July 15, 2020 - This is what happens when you wait just a bit too long. It was a shell of itself from previous openings. It did take almost 1.5 hours to open but remained such for about an hour and took a nose dive. It was a bit cloudy but basically lackluster. Cork was in excellent shape but the wine wasn't. It was flabby and disjointed for the most part and barely drinkable. Noticing others great scores it's possible I just had an off bottle. Stored impeccably but then one never knows, does one?
