August 1, 2016 - NobleRottersSydney - Single Vineyards (360 Bar & Dining, Sydney): {cork, 14%} {Kim} Amazingly good save from the vintage; some just-opened bottle stink blew off quickly; then the coconut and oak aromas charge through; it’s a touch resiny, with a medium/full-bodied, rather furry palate, but a bit hollow too; there is a touch of underlying Clare eucalypt though. It’s never unripe, but the tricky vintage manifests in a patchy, shortish finish; in the end it’s a wine propped up by (quality) oak, and with nowhere further to age. Drink.
August 29, 2015 - soft cherry notes on the nose with silky but balanced fruit with a long finish - much better than previous 2000
February 27, 2013 - Opened this up this evening after keeping in cellar for 11 years. Bought in Port Douglas Queensland in 2002, stored in Tokyo, Rye NY and Saratoga CA. Delicious Syrah well worth holding on to for so long. Very mellow tannins, mellow berries with a hint port. Drink it up soon. Glad I didn't wait any longer
April 16, 2009 - Well worth keeping.Last bottle. Loganberries and stewed plums on the nose.Deep red colour ,soft tannins, loads of fruit-lovely with Sunday roast lamb.
January 18, 2009 - Deep Red,medium sediment,full fruit on nose.Medium tannins,brambles,blackcurrants-tasty.
March 10, 2008 - full fruity nose-brambles and blackberries.Soft tannins with fruit bursting in the mouth.delicious.
April 11, 2007 - Fair's fair - they've mainly be poor, but this was fine. Just so much variation from bottle to bottle (identical storage).
April 7, 2007 - Eucalyptus and port. Horrible stuff.
February 19, 2007 - Much better than the last bottle, thankfully. Not so Port like, although still an alcoholic blockbuster. Enjoyed this, but still too big for my taste. Still, have some bottles left so am not as distraught as I was after opening the previous bottle.
February 9, 2007 - Very alcoholic, almost port-like. Not enjoyable - possibly faulty, but I don't think so.
