May 18, 2019 - Preserved peaches and melons. Butter. Really no acidity left. Had the 95 a few months ago and that aged even better; but this is still all right!

April 28, 2017 - Tasted alongside a 97 and 06 Mt Eden as well as an 02 Kistler Dutton, this was my favorite. Great color, very nice mix of fruit and some secondaries, and a nice finish. Certainly time to drink up, but enjoyable with and without food, and given it is my last bottle it has me hoping the 2012 will do at least this well over time...A-

March 30, 2016 - Fairly deep color, but while mature not tired. Nutty nose, on the palate ripe fruits and lemon curds, good backbone for 20 year old Cali Chard. Craig and Cathleen both got Cali immediately, but people were thinking Stony Hill. Very good and holds up through night. B+

December 16, 2014 - Deep golden color. Aromas of pineapple, mango and light honey with background citrus (without any sharpness) and smoky notes. On the palate, sweetness and balanced bright fruits leave an upbeat impression and smooth finish given subdued acid. After some air time, the wine leaves a lingering nuttiness, hints of vanilla and creme brulee. Paired well with sauteed bay scallops.

November 4, 2013 - Horribly corked. Two hours of air, no improvement. Ruined. Arrrrgh.

September 13, 2012 - Still holding, and very enjoyable. Elegant, complex, but showing its California heritage. Great with food. Fruit is probably just past its peak, but feels like this will hold for a few more years. I would drink now and enjoy. A-

December 2, 2011 - Mount Eden Retrospective with Jeffrey Patterson: The '90s (The Plumed Horse Restaurant, Saratoga, California): Medium lemon yellow color; intriguing, focused, butter, deep baked lemon, orange cream nose; very tasty, rich, creamy textured, baked lemon, sweet butter palate; medium-plus finish

November 22, 2011 - Open fire Blind Tasting (Our place): Deep gold with coppery hue. Rich nose, a touch oxidative. Smoky oak, exotic fruit (pineapple) and apple. Similar palate. Low acidity. Spicy finish.
As the previous bottle, it got bigger, richer with air to the point of being undrinkable for me. Was ok upon opening.

November 11, 2011 - Deep yellow color. Aromas of toasted nuts, tangerine and vanilla. Palate is full of lemon oil, toasted nuts, fig, and an almost dreamsicle-esque orange-cream note that flirts with overly oxidative, but stays enjoyable. The finish is medium-long with some quince notes in the flavor profile emerging. This has held up and is a fine example of what Chardonnay can do with bottle age when oxidation is tempered.
