March 30, 2024 - This is such a great bottle of wine. Fourrier really nailed the 2007 vintage. This is as red fruited as you will see CSJ. Glorious really with red, dark red, cherry ore mineral, spices, balanced and pure as all get out! This is a great bottle to have guarding your cellar!

December 24, 2023 - Superb with lots of layers on the back palette as well as on the nose. A wine worth a bit of the time for aging. Right time to drink it now til 5 more year IMO

October 27, 2023 - Fortunate to try this twice in a matter of weeks (both blind). Unfiltered and cloudy. Such a great nose of worchester sauce and lovely tertiary notes and barnyard developing. I called 2007 as it came across as quite a lean, fresh and acidic wine (which is perfect for my palate).

October 6, 2023 - Almost impossible to score. The cork had crumbled and this was a pale ruby with lots old sediment, relatively thick legs and a tertiary nose. Served blind we called 1990s as it was mushrooms and truffles on the nose. I also thought it could have been Rhône. Was shocked when we saw 2007. A great wine but clearly an issue with the cork advanced this. From SJW

July 29, 2023 - Consistent notes - rich, full, great fruit. Lovely texture. Classic Fourrier. More depth than most 07s. Plenty of life left here. A great effort for the vintage. Drink or hold.

May 6, 2023 - Tasted blind: Deeply colored; very effusive nose of dark rich fruit, sous bois, a bit poopy; amazing purity and richness of fruit, stunning wine. Soil inflected and hauntingly persistent finish keep you coming back for more. Thrilled that my tasting partner brought this, all the more so when noticing I have 3 in the cellar! YUM

September 15, 2022 - The one with Fourrier(s) (Imperial Treasure GWC): Fourrier 1er Night

Incredibly striking and haunting bouquet. If the bouquet had not revealed that this was top end Gevrey premier cru or even a grand cru, the palate sure did. Violets, red flowers, cherries and savoury meaty streaks did it for me with power and depth. My first thoughts brought me to the 2002 Louis Jadot CSJ I had recently in terms of style but pedigree wise, this was easily a few levels up. My WOTN.

    September 14, 2022 - Yeasty. Reductive.
Lovely balance on the palate: intense, rich.
Never quite got over the reductiveness though. We tried: shook it around in the decanter and whatnot.
    Disappointing bottle.

June 18, 2021 - Afternoon quickie at Joo Chiat. Drank in Zalto Burgundy glass. Coravined out multiple times. Was so damm good. An immediacy of pleasure. Would have popped it and slurped it all down if not for having to save a bit for another friend.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, garnet colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of sexy sous bois undergrowth, potpourri, wild red cherries. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of fine stony minerality, savoury sous bois, sexy undergrowth, wild red cherries, sweet red plums, controlled licorice, sweet Chinese herbs. Long sublime finish.
Excellent quality. The derived pleasure is something to be felt and experienced rather than described, and my tasting notes probably do not do justice. This 2007 is so on point.
