July 29, 2023 - Opened a bottle immediately when I bought it (2010?), and it showed very poorly (80? Maybe 75? It was all water and tannin). Now though it is like drinking freshly picked blackberries dusted with sage, celery seed, and cracked black pepper.

March 25, 2016 - Lovely. It took until now for this wine to shine, 2 earlier bottles did not impress me at all. The nose is elegant, earthy, plummy, with cassis and licorice. On the palate, the wine is soft, round, smooth, medium-bodied, everything seems well integrated. Grew in intensity over 4-5 hours. Good for the mid-week.

May 27, 2012 - A very passable Bordeaux but not for the price I paid for it.

April 28, 2012 - Crimson colour moving towards garnet. A rather reserved nose, playing on elegance, I detect some plum, vanilla, Corinthian raisin and a hint of forest floor. On the palate, there is more flesh than 2 years ago, acidity is perhaps a bit less anoying, and there are drying tannins on the finish. Overall I took more pleasure drinking this wine today than 2 years ago, but it is still unworthy of its classification as well as of the vintage. Improved on Day 2: more intense nose, smoother palate. Day 1: 83. Day 2: 85.

March 31, 2010 - Barely above average, not very flattering for a wine of this appelation, even classified as 'Cru Bourgeois'. Colour is crimson with hints of brick. Nose opened after 2 hours offering plum, red fruit, and licorice. Mouth is light, almost watery, unfocused, without enough fruit on the mid-palate, horrible acidic finish. After 2 hours the whole impression got a bit better; if that is because the wine actually improved with air or because I started to accept the wine as it is, I am not sure. Anyway my initial horror was moderated and after a while I found the wine to be more 'acceptable'. QPR? Well for sure I could have spent the 10€ better. I have 2 bottles left. I will give this wine one more chance in 2 years but I seriously doubt it will improve.
