September 19, 2019 - Blackberry, blueberry, chocolate, leather, coffee, tobacco, notes of barnyard; smooth, rich, mouth-filling, sudden and expansive yet also light and elegant, tannins present but considerably mellowed, fruits still present but fading and balanced tobacco elements; a very long balanced gradually descending receding finish that extends on and on; a mature well-aged claret, ready to drink and delightful

September 5, 2019 - Lovely mature Bordeaux, drinking very well right now with some nice secondary and tertiary notes. Definitely more on the delicate side for Bordeaux, but lovely.

August 24, 2019 - No formal notes. Enjoyed in close proximity to 1985 Léoville Las Cases which really over shadowed this wine. Lovely but not particularly captivating.

July 14, 2019 - Second Sunday Group: 1989 Bordeaux (MiY's): Double blind. Aromas of plummy red fruit, herbs, tobacco and dark fruit on the back end. Flavors of dark fruit and plum, spice and cigar tobacco. Fleshy and full with a long finish. My favorite in the lineup this far, at least on the initial run theough the flight.mshuts down in the glass more than any of the others, turning more tannic and even austere by the time I ran through again and began working on my final rankings.

    My #8, Domino's #4
    Group #3, 52 pts

July 14, 2019 - This is becoming better and better. So much concentration and light minerality, just a marvel 30y Bordeaux drinkability, a marvelous treat full of fruit, preciseness and purpose. Magnificent.
