December 15, 2023 - Needed some air and decanted a total of 5 hours. Classic St Estèphe of course. Big, bold, tannic and very savoury. A spicy lingering finish. Overall there was not too much complexity, most likely given it is a second wine and 20 years old and slightly past its peak. Still very enjoyable. Drink up.

April 9, 2023 - So much for keeping the last two bottles longer - these two paired brilliantly with our Easter Sunday lamb. Continues to drink very well indeed. Note similar to previous ones.

Dark garnet. Pronounced tertiary aromas - dried cassis and cherry, prune, cedar, tobacco, smoke, hint of menthol, earth. Fully developed. Dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ fine, chalky tannins, medium+ alcohol (13.5%), full body, long finish. Very good.

January 17, 2023 - In great shape. Still with lots of energy. Classic St Estephe. I think that this one has a while to go.

January 5, 2023 - Dark, almost jet black in colour. Rich, earthy flavour. Dense in texture! A touch simple in my view!

June 26, 2022 - Equally good as the last bottle. I decanted two bottles into a magnum decanter 90 minutes before drinking. Definitely on a plateau but holding up well. Keeping the last two bottles for daughters 21st in 2 years time.
