October 22, 2013 - decanted for 2 hours. nose has earthy/barnyard notes but not objectionable. The tannins and acidity stand out, with not much fruit. could be at the end of its shelf life.

November 22, 2012 - Decent, funky Pinot. Good aromatics, but no overwhelming or distinguishing flavor. Good QPR though.

November 16, 2012 - Popped and Poured ... Day 1, little to no fruit, nothing but barnyard.
Day2: starting to open up. Good aromatics, balance of fruit and ancillary flavors.
Day 3: Only one glass left, but the best one yet. Everything balanced and in tension. Could use a longer finish, but still left me wanting another glass.

April 16, 2012 - I had this alongside Tandem 2007 (same winemaker and year). This wine was clearly inferior to the Tandem. Tasted of cola, tart cherry (fruit isn’t as ripe as I would like for Sonoma), some black pepper on the finish, but the finish is short. Also notes of olive, rhubarb, smoke and tea. Not as silky as Tandem. I’d pay $20 for this, but not too much more.

April 14, 2012 - Half of us detected a barnyard funk odor, the other did not. Otherwise aromas of earth and red berries. The wine was relatively simple, with a shorter finish. However, it was an easy and enjoyable drinker.
