July 1, 2019 - Inventory update
January 8, 2016 - Quintissential Napa Cab, bright blue fruit, stone, leather. Just a hint of green on finish, sort of Cab Frankie. I would not sit on these.
August 12, 2015 - Well stored youthful purple color. Nose of smoke, deep crushed berry. Flavors are deep and green but youthful. Chewy leaf, tobacco, cherry and a bit of tannic bite on exit. Ready to go but still youthful.
September 17, 2014 - Everything you would want in a 12 year old Cali-Cab. Green olive and blueberry in the nose. Spicy currant with hints of vanilla in the palate. Very integrated, caressing tannins with a pretty decent blueberry finish. Probably has 3 years remaining.
May 9, 2013 - Ruby to brick in color. Red fruit and a touch of leather on the nose. Opens with concentrated red fruit and a suggestion of oak. Well-intrgarted tannins add structure without being overly noticeable. Moderate complexity and a long tangy, fruity finish. This will likely go for several more years.
April 21, 2011 - Bummer that this was the last of this in our collection. This was a really nice wine. Consumed last night, so not a detailed review. Big fruit, with a lot of complexity. This is absolutely not just a fruit bomb. The fruit is still kicking, the tannins have calmed down and it is a really well balanced wine. We enjoyed it a lot.
January 5, 2011 - Great wine. great color, complex noce, chocolate, plum, spice and vanilla
March 13, 2010 - Part of 5-year vertical tasting. Black pepper, redy cherry, wet earth, bluberries, mild smoke and vanilla bean on the nose. Cherry, blackberry and pepper hints on the mouth. Curious if this is just past it's prime, but still better than the 2004.
August 16, 2009 - A strong favorite of the Napa cabernet lover in our group. Chocolate, vanilla, American oak, new world cab.
