    September 19, 2016 - Threw a substantial sediment. Very, very dark in the glass. Rich and slightly musty nose, with mint, lead, earth, and more mint. Not bashful on the palate with flavors again of mint, some gunmetal, above average acid, and still some pretty substantial tannins. This must have been a beast in its youth. Reminds me of the only Heitz Martha's Vineyard I ever tasted, with its strong minty character. Could still use 2-4 years.

    December 13, 2014 - Fruit now showing through as the tannins soften. Still some residual tannins but with a burger softened right up. Tastes right through the mouth, with a 10 second finish. Medium to full bodied. still 12 in the cellar and am now looking forward to drinking them.

    March 10, 2011 - Opened and poured two glasses, decanter the rest half an hour or so. Very fruit forward for a cab. Several comments noted heavy tannins; I experienced the opposite - surprisingly light tannins were a consistent note. Hints of oak, cocoa, an spice. Very good for the price. Drink now.

    October 27, 2010 - Starts light an ends heavily tannic, on a dry note. Nose is dark fruit, cassis and cola. Body was moderately light, same flavors as nose. Finish was fairly long and tannic, dry, cassis and semi-sweet chocolate. Came to maurity 2 hours after opening - solid wine for filet.

    October 4, 2010 - This was really nice, but like the other reviewers have said, make sure to let it breath for 30 min. Without that, very tannic, but the fruit showed up after the air. Even better the second night.
