February 29, 2012 - Not a lot of experience with Alicante Bouchet, but this was a very nice wine. Deep, deep color. Dark cherry on the nose that comes through on the palate. Smooth and full. Great QPR on this wine.

April 27, 2011 - This varietal is related to Grenache and I get some nice aromatics of Roses and spice box at first. Opens up quickly to something very smooth and polished similar to a light bodied Syrah. Red cherry with bursts of sour red cherry and hints of spice. It complements food particularly well, pork ribs for me on this night.

January 16, 2011 - Dark, ruby red wine. Aromas of leather and dark cherry along with secondary presence of apricot and mushrooms. Upon opening the wine displayed a bitter character that dissipated over 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, flavors of dark cherry, leather and tannins were revealed. We purchased this wine for the unique character of the Alicante Bouschet varietal and having experienced it, in my opinion, there is no reason to go back. On to exploring new varietals!

December 17, 2010 - At first we couldn't tell whether it was too young or too old - it seemed to be in a dumb period right in the middle with little fruit and no finish. Then it suddenly opened up into a huge, lushious fruit bomb with a long, spicy finish. Yummy!
