December 25, 2020 - The surprise of the day. After two hour decant lots of dark fruit, acid and tannins. Better than last bottle. Extremely drinkable right now.

January 7, 2009 - I found 3 bottles - just opened and smell is still very strong of black cherry. Color is very dark and has great legs. I will see if it tastes better, and if it can still open?. It got lost in locker and may be to late.

October 6, 2007 - After decanting, a nice but not opulent nose revealed some spice and violet notes.
Not as much fruit as I was hoping, perhaps this bottle had reached it peak and was descending.
Still high in alcohol though. A brief but nice finish...Overrated?

July 29, 2006 - Unbelievable. This wine has legs. It held up very well to the last drop. Serious gravitas, if a wine is capable of such. Velvet smooth with secondary charateristics worthy of the snobbiest oenophile. We are searching for more. Is it better than the Chateau St Jean reserve Merlot?

March 1, 2005 - Wow, big nose some currant and forest smell. Nice mouth presence, mocha, very smooth and balanced, sweet tannins, long finish. From a split.

April 25, 2004 - Really big smell like cherry, oak. Tannic, still very bold- not fading yet. Complex taste and 30+ second finish.
