Beau bouchon, sans le moindre signe de coulure.
2/3 merlot, 1/3 petit verdot, 24 mois en fût de chêne.
Délicieux dès l'ouverture. Fruits noirs (cassis, myrtille), terre, graphite, une légère et plaisante amertume, des tannins puissants mais nullement agressifs, une bonne longueur en bouche...
Sans doute un exemple très réussi de ce que peut offrir le petit verdot en année chaude et pas trop sèche. -

July 4, 2010 - Was decanted for three hours before drinking. It was garnet in the glass, tending to black cherry at the rim. Medium, thick glycerous legs.
Fascinating nose of black cherry, cassis, and raw tobacco.
Mouth feel was weighty and fleshy, very pleasurable. Flavours of cassis, black fresh fruit, pepper and a touch of clove. Medium to full-bodied wine with a long finish.
Still quite tannic, this is the third bottle we've drunk in two years. We're going to keep the other three for at least another two years to track development ...1 person found this helpful Comment
