July 13, 2019 - PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Leaf” day): Pale, bright ruby with slightly copperish rim, with some very fine deposits.

Incredible spectrum of smoke-infused red berry fruits. Penetrating. Razor sharp focus.

What great level of concentration achieved in such a lightfooted package. Super minerality and acidity without any weight.

This is truely a great achievement indeed. 94-95 point to me.

2.5 hours upon opening: Superb minerality but getting richer indeed. Ethereal. To me this is perfect and awe-inspiring on technical details if not super emotional? 94-95 points.

April 5, 2019 - Village night. Stems and earth with coolness. Balance and acidity on palate. Settled into prime drinking window. (1335/2064)

March 3, 2018 - La Paulée de San Francisco - Gala Dinner (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): Small glass, brief note. It is just always this great.

March 3, 2018 - La Paulée de SF Gala Dinner (Fairmont Hotel, SF CA): A simply divine wine. Epic amounts of intense spice and herbs layered in with powerful yet silky black cherry. Great concentration of flamboyant fruit.

(Domaine Leroy Romanée St. Vivant) Bricking, slightly cloudy red with pale meniscus; dried cherry and berry nose with a little VA; ripe berry and cherry palate with lime acidity, concentrated, tight yet, needs a few more years; 93+ pts.
