October 3, 2023 - It did come back but it is drink now time
May 13, 2021 - Definitely at its peak.
Crazy nose still, moss, toasted sesame oil, wet wood
Big body, dark fruits, apple skins, black licorice, reminds me of a lalande de de pomerol.
DRINK UP.
December 28, 2019 - Drink UP
December 28, 2018 - A fine bottle. Very Italian. Good for sipping. Better (no surprise) with the meal.
November 25, 2018 - Worth waiting for this bottle. Opened quickly in the glass. Deep red. Aromas savory, with some fruit notes. Medium weight. Fairly rich, with fruit emerging. Authoritative but supple tannins. A winner!
September 23, 2018 - A little dusty at first on the the first day, but opened up nicely. Second day was still going strong, with even more richness. I would say it's not going to get better than now, but that there may be still a few years of pleasant drinking.
April 16, 2018 - Nose: fruit and licorice; palate velvety and more secondary than nose revealed.
January 15, 2017 - Very nice bouquet of leather and licorice, palate is silky and velvety with the tannins completely integrated.
Really elegant merlot at peak
December 4, 2016 - Intense ripe and concentrated wine. Intense but not that complex on the nose - more fruit than secondary notes. Palate is more of the same, dark and ripe, blackberry and currant with some tar and licourice notes. This was good, but lacked the complexity and interest for a higher score. Great food wine!
October 2, 2016 - Corked wine
