  April 6, 2015 - Weekly tasting group #163; Easter tasting: A mixed set of white, red and sweet. (@ DJ): Very special bouquet with some menthol. On the palate white fruits, peach, limestone minerality, ok acidity and some bitterness in the finish. A very grapy wine.

But s/he didn't do it with my pallet in mind. The nose consists of complicated *alternating notes* of peach and lemon, both over a base of grapefruit. The wine has an amazing mouth feel. There are amazing flavors of melon and peach over a base of honey. There is some honeysuckle in there, too. The flavors linger into an orange that never falls off! It's amazing. It's extremely complex No oak at all (hallelujah!). If I could stop there, I would, and I'd give this wine a 93+. But, unfortunately, all of these wonderful flavors are blended with a tar taste that I just don't care for. Everyone else at the table appreciated it, but it just wasn't my cup-o-tea. For my pallet (and the price) this would reduce the wine to an 83. Rather than splitting the difference, I'll let you be the judge.
