April 6, 2024 - The archetypal food friendly Bordeaux. Red fruits with a decent savourybedge. On its own decent but not to get excited about. With rump of lamby and salsa verde, perfect accompaniment.

March 18, 2023 - Nicely resolved mellow claret. Everything as it should be. Moderate on all fronts with decent mature fruit. Food wine, went well with a steak. Ready now but will keep.

October 29, 2022 - Very good wine but a bit disappointing for a second growth. Nice and elegant, with a good balance between fruit and earthy flavours. However, a bit diluted and thin.

April 29, 2022 - Better and less evolved than a previous bottle. Peak maturity, nice perfumed wine with dense red fruits and a touch of forest floor.

February 28, 2022 - First from a case. Nice mature claret, red fruits, a touch of gravel, savoury, good balance. Ready now but will drink well for at least the next five years. No need to keep it longer though.

December 23, 2020 - A bit leathery, classic cooler claret. Bright fruit and a firm acid finish.

December 11, 2020 - (Decant for one hour)
Deep red colour with a blue red hue. Very nice maturity showing drying fruit and black currant and with a very intense warm finish. Opens up with violets and liquorice in a delicious way.

October 22, 2020 - Beginning to mature. This has softened a little, still a bit burly but calmer. Solid structure, big dark fruits, plummy, Christmas cake. Drinking well now.

April 12, 2020 - (Decanted for one hour)
Red colour with a brick red hue. Maturing nose showing warmer red fruit and herbs combined with some forest floor and liquorice. Smoothing tannins on the palate with fruit starting to dry up. Opens up on the mid with warm fruit before the nice and lengthy balanced finish. This has evolved nicely with time, but should keep well for quite some time.

October 21, 2017 - Maturing nose showing cherries, herbs, bay leafs and a hint of leather. Smooth and silk tannins on the palate and lots of cherry fruit to carry it even further and with a nice long finish. Slightly watery on the finish showing the lesser vintage that 2002 was. But despite it all a good offering and good showing and drinking nicely right now and should keep well for some more years for sure. Best 2017-2027.
