October 26, 2018 - Fill was good, cork was perfect, out of bottle the color was faint, however it got denser a few minutes later. The taste was thin, and hard to make out any dominant flavor, but tannins still good. Definitely past it's time.

December 26, 2015 - Needs 20 minutes in the decanter to come together, medium to light weight with fading finish. Distinct bell pepper hints that come and go. Lightweight fruit that fades with time. At its best, moderately complex and complete if light. Drink up.

November 14, 2012 - I had bought this years ago, forgot in the cellar and opened with some trepidation, but it was terrific. Medium-dark ruby color with very little browning. Medium body, with smooth tannins and youthful fruit considering its age. Berry, tobacco and earth, this was drinking beautifully. Fully mature, but not going over the edge at this point.

November 8, 2012 - Cherry red color with a subtle red fruit nose. Opened and poured right away -- afraid this would be too fragile to last. Initially, this was well worth it. Dark red cherry highlights with some cassis and spice. Tannins were prominent and out of balance. After 30 minutes the tannic edge was a bit too strong, and the fruit began to fade right out. Not fair to grade it given its age, but this was enjoyable for a bit and must have been a terrific bottle 10 years ago.

February 13, 2011 - Disappointing. Nose like a port / rusted nail. Decanted, let sit for 3 hours. Still needed more time. Gave it more hours. Drinkable, but lacked any interesting characteristics. Thin...likely well past its prime.
