February 1, 2024 - Pours dark golden. I got a sense of the beautiful fruit, but with 20 minutes, oxidized flavors prevailed.

May 26, 2023 - Last of my 6 pack. Previous bottles were good but this was in a completely different league. Paired with the 96. Vibrant gold colour. In perfect shape with not even a hint of oxidation. Beautifully elegant, graceful, clean and precise with an intriguing aniseed and spearmint note. Should have held the others longer! Hard to imagine that the 96 could be even better but it was…

January 14, 2023 - This would be perfect for ER using the paddles to bring this bad boy back to life. If this was New Orleans, the band would be practicing in the gym.

Ok ok this is my favorite Chardonnay producer in the world and I am sorry to say that this baby is on its last legs. Rich, vanilla custard. Almond paste, baked apple and butterscotch dominate. Hints of toasted coconut, orange blossom, white pepper and jasmine.

These wines never are shy about greatness from cradle to grave. If you have ever the opportunity to visit the estate you actually get to see the temperamental teens, but learn well, when the wines hit the market you need to drink them. Yum, but not yummy!

June 4, 2022 - at the end of life for sure, but pretty darn sublime, golden in color, and honeycomb on the nose and palate, but so pretty good acidity for balance... glad I bought 11 of these about a year ago, and for only $95 it was a great purchase

May 20, 2022 - beautiful... med gold in color (age is showing), an elegant old lady with med plus acidity to balance the age / roundness / hints of smoke / hint of sweetness... still found this to be 51% on the citrus side (which made me, and especially my wife, happy)... yum
