February 3, 2023 - Enjoyed at HK POB Paulee. Small glass sample.

Slightly better than the 1999 that I had alongside it, perhaps due to greater freshness, but didn't quite match my expectations for the terroir. No more extensive notes beyond this.

September 8, 2022 - Gorgeous nose with roasted red fruit, perfume, flowers and potpourri. Palate is very feminine and light especially for a Bonnes Mares, which is not surpising for Vougeraie’s Bonnes Mares. The first hour is absolutely gorgeous but it does not hold well in the glass afterwards. Time to drink it. 92++

July 22, 2022 - Feminine and silky BM that is expressive with an array of blue and red fruit. Drinking beautifully despite a bit light for its terroir.

June 9, 2016 - 2007 Burgundy Grand Cru Dinner (Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck, Paragon): A very solid wine, not without its imperfections, but still very impressive. This probably had the densest nose on the night, with ripe, almost roasted aromas of sweet blueberries and dark cherries, perfumed flowers, and then plenty of savoury earth, meaty and spice. A gorgeous bouquet - but I would have sworn that it belonged to a wine from a warmer year. I thought the palate was a step behind the nose, but it was still very pleasing. Like so many of the other 2007 Grand Crus on show, this was every so clean and pure, with almost glowing flavours of dark cherries and blueberries swathed in fine tannins and bright acidity. There was a lovely sense of finesse to this, all the way into its bassier finish of earth and mineral and little spicy hints. I found the acidity to be just a touch shrill at points, but otherwise this was a gorgeous young Bonnes Mares. It drank well on the night, but I think it will continue to improve over the next decade or two as well given the acidity and structure.
