December 31, 2023 - Drank from Mag. Deep bright color. Yes, showed fizz for about the first hour. Blackberry, currants with some hints of mushroom and leather on the finish. Soft tannins still going. Balanced with moderate finish, Not Beaucastel but enjoyable. Happy to have one more Mag. Maybe in 3-4 years.
December 11, 2023 - Strange experience with this one. Consumed over several days. On day one, even after a few hours of decanting, this wine was rough around the edges. The fruit is there, but there is was certain roughness that was hard to get past. Much improved on day 3! The rough edges are gone and a very nice fruit presence comes through, mostly blackberries and cranberries. Some dried herbs and kahlua on the finish. Still not great. Maybe over the hill as others have noted.
November 28, 2023 - Color looked okay. Seemed tart, and a couple of people thought(not I) maybe slightly effervescent. Over the hill.
August 8, 2023 - Great bottle, opened 1 hour ahead. See my notes of 5/21. Solid 92 points.
June 29, 2023 - Still drinking beautifully, even if the cork broke. Decanting was important anyway. So much depth--blackberry, boysenberry, but no jamminess, with tannins holding tight and lots of grace notes on a long finish.
June 9, 2023 - At Mashomack with Jamie, Greg, Ken and Tom. Next to 03 Beaucastel from Greg. Whats with this stupid fizz. It went away but lingered on the brain. Very strange. Makes it less funthough. The fizz is special for this vintage. The 03 beaucastel was terrific, round fresh and lengthy.

December 23, 2022 - Cork was leaking, still tasting well, nice fruit, grilled herbs, soft tannin, balanced
