Community Tasting Notes 3

September 29, 2015 - Light ruby, with some bricking. A bit hazy.
Nose starts to be tertiary, but there is still vivid fruit - and then leather, earth, meat and a balsamic touch. All beautifully integrated and simply wonderful to enjoy.
Round, smooth, intense palate. Here too a fine mix of fruit, earth and tertiary notes, but still fresh and lively. On the finish one still feels the very fine-grained tannins and their grip.
One of the best aged Burgundies I've had. Simply stunning.

February 3, 2011 - Opaque brick color. Sharp barnyard aromas, cheese shop, fermented food. Those sharper aromas subdue after some breathing time and leave behind moist earth, dry wood, forest floor, and red cherry. Abundant red fruit flavors mix with soft tannins for a great mouth experience. Long, long juicy sweet-tart finish. Ravishing!

May 31, 2008 - Poured blind. Knew right away it was Burgundy. It needed an hour to flesh out and was very tannic for the vintage. Really had an amazing nose of sweet strawberrys, incense, lavender and sage. Very long finish with some serious tannins. This is a keeper.
