January 8, 2023 - Amazing after 17 years in the bottle. Well balanced. It may be at its peak. Lovely dark fruits. Velvety Merlot textures

April 20, 2021 - Still drinking really well. Could go another 3-5 years with these tannins. Cocoa and blueberry notes, with good balance. Note it’s been in pro storage for its whole life.

March 22, 2015 - Opened and immediately was put off by the spell of pine. Decanted but smell remained and taste was bad as well

December 1, 2014 - Odd vegetal quality - like an unsuccessful cab franc. Not undrinkable by any means, but just a bit strange.

January 5, 2013 - Definitely needed to be decanted. Much fuller body and less tannic after a two hour decant.

November 21, 2012 - deep dark color, big cherry nose, also in the mouth and nice long finish

November 16, 2012 - Mixed reviews by fellow drinkers. This had a bit of funk to it, but underneath was full bodied, with a long drying finish. I found it very interesting, and think the extra couple years bottle age really did some good. Maybe a few more and it will improve further.

July 11, 2012 - Maybe slightly past its peak. Good nose and decent fruit that is totally integrated. Almost too soft and lacking a little structure by way of tannins. Plum, dark berries, oak, vanilla. Medium finish. Not sure why more people don't, but I like Merlot, alot.
