February 6, 2023 - Descent length and complexity. Some caramelly notes.

February 3, 2023 - Fresher than expected based on others notes. And better than my memory of the St Vincent.

  • matage Likes this wine: 90 points

October 23, 2022 - The bottle variation of the Presidence -02 continues.
Golden hue indicating some age and the almond notes on the nose gives hints of maturity.
Very young on the palate though with tight fruit, high lingering acidity with green apple notes.
I was hoping for a bit more body and maturity at thi stage but I'll place my hopes in the next bottle from the case.

May 2, 2022 - This champagne has reached maturity but also still has a lot of freschness left.
If you want some freschness and acid in your chamapgne, you should drink this now. If you only want mature apples, you can wait 2-3 more years.
I liked the R&L Legras Saint Vincent more - I would say that the Saint Vincent is one or two steps up in quality.

(Legras Brut Champagne Presidence VV) #2; COLOR-golden; NOSE-a beautiful bread with butter component; hint of pear; a bit tropical (guava) on the tail end; PALATE-really pretty apples; very smoky; almost like baked apples w/ sticks; much creamy than I expected, but not as acidic; good champagne overall, but lacks a little zing that I look for w/ my bubbles; good, but just didn't bowl me over; GV-89
