  September 30, 2010 - I thought this delivered. After being recommended this by somebody who loves the Rhone, I had high expectations. Initially they were not met. Right out of the gate the bottle was closed and syrupy. An hour in and the wine gave off a nice earthy mix of berries and meaty smoke. Thick and smooth on the palate with a longish finish. 90-91

  September 2, 2010 - Expressive right out of the gate on the first pour. Pretty and powerful nose of dark fruit and anise. The palate is full with more fruit, spice and meaty notes. This is smooth considering all the flavor. Rich, lingering finish.
