Community Tasting Notes 7

October 4, 2008 - But the rouge was the main event: classic Pessac leather, fine aged meat, tobacco, one of the few Bordeauxs I've had recently that I actually thought, "cedar", my last and by far best bottle. Not Haut Brion, but Pessac typicity, decent complexity, and a wine that you wanted to come back to: what more can you ask? I see that Rolland got his hands on this estate in 02; damn shame, because this is classic stuff.

January 7, 2008 - Classic Graves, cool toned, complex and earthy, pretty old school, drinking great now.

August 27, 2006 - A very nice food wine after opening up for a bit in the decanter. Well-integrated, smooth tannins. Dry on the finish with subtle tastes that make you want more.

April 9, 2006 - Anita: Nice dark forest and wet underbrush notes. Understated, but a plush, soft, but rich mouth, med. bod, med. full t’s. This is a classic Pessac, nice earthy, coffee, foresty style cab.

December 19, 2005 - Dark plum colour, not intense on the nose, but complex and quite interesting. Plum and currant fruit and quite earthy. Dry, firm with nice acidity and a taste of dry currants on the finish. Very nice food wine.
