March 8, 2017 - Burgundy Theme Dinner at La Barca (La Barca): Drank over 3 hours from bottle.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of savoury earth, fresh red cherries, perfume, purple and red flowers. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13%), chewy medium+ tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of red apple, red cherries, earth, stony minerality. Medium finish.
Very good quality. Village still showing well at this age. Nice nose, though somewhat unsophisticated on the palate, and the chewy tannins reducing the elegance of the Chambolle experience. I would drink this up sooner rather than later.

March 1, 2014 - Decanted 1-2 hours, I recommend to open this up. Dark ruby core showing a little age. Nose of field strawberry, green leaves and earthy notes. Perfect balance with silky smooth tannin that linger slightly on a long long finish. Ageing gracefully and will last for years.

September 28, 2013 - a great showing for a Village wine. Red candied fruit, no formal notes.

June 14, 2013 - This bottle not as good as my last. Seemed closed and less expressive, Great structure and precision. A pin point finish with nice chalky mineral and clarity of fruit. Very transparent and with a distinct expression of place. Lots of life left in this.

September 8, 2012 - Pure with structure and finess. Loads of fruit with great balance. Weighty, but with transperancy in the fruit. Cherry fruit with a Stoney floral type minrality. Fresh finish and noticably earthy. Nice cut of acidity that will keep this youthful for years to come. Exceptional for village level Chambole. Love it. Drink now to 2018.
