July 9, 2011 - SWINE Whites Blind Dinner (Chez Leonard): This wine placed 4th in the SWINE Whites Blind Dinner. The experts noted it as a classic California Chardonnay, buttery but not overoaked with hints of carmel

March 21, 2011 - Medium yellow, fruit, oak and acid in balance. A very nice wine.

February 28, 2011 - 10 months after last bottle and not improving as hoped. More yeasty and full bore oak than I recall and the fruit is overwhelmed at present. Cloudy darker yellow. Moving toward ripe pears and melons with time. Several more bottles in the cellar, so we will see if time settles the wine.

May 25, 2010 - Hmm. Didn't impress me at all this time. A slightly bitter oaky note, not a lot of fruit, flabby like so many '07 chards. A mediocre wine at half the price, a crime at $45/btl.

May 2, 2010 - Medium yellow with a slight cast toward olive oil. Reserved nose. Heavier in weight, leaning toward melons more than apples, but with nice acidity for balance.

April 8, 2010 - Nice, clean chard. Definitely CA in style but not at all over the top. Balanced with moderate acidity.

March 22, 2010 - I liked this quite a bit. It has nice clean fruit and acidity and even a bit of minerality. The oak is very light, and there are no rough edges. Remonds me of a really good Macon-Villages. Great food chardonnay, and a great value.

October 26, 2009 - This is very solid little Chard. Light bodied, light on its feet, and nicely acidic. I prefer it, in fact, to Pahlmeyer's top bottlings.
