  September 14, 2014 - This is still good but it's showing some older fruit characteristics indicating it's time to drink up. The fruit is typical Rhone in character, no doubt, but it's getting fairly generalized from age with the exception of the soil element which is strong and persistent. It needs time to settle down in the mouth but finally develops a smooth, rich feel. Nice wine. Good not great.

  April 8, 2011 - Not corked or muddy but as luck would have it minor but annoying reduction that cleared after 30 minutes of air. Still youthful in appearance but it's staring to develop an interesting evolved savory herbal aroma which complements the dark fruit and minor licorice. Quite nice in the mouth after initial slight bitterness fades and good structure. Very pleasant to drink now with air but will hold for many years. Give this an hour. Ripe but not overdone.

  April 3, 2011 - Thick, opaque swirling sediment from the end or beginning of the bottling run. Very sharp on the palate. At least it's not corked.
