March 5, 2024 - Ageing effortlessly at the moment . Very indicative of the year in its expression of ripeness. Suave texture, veering towards the modern, but the fruit, Nile rounding with age, still retains a very fresh personality. Unlike many 2007s, this does not feel tiring. This will be fascinating to follow. 91+
December 22, 2023 - Developed nose and brick red in colour, still quite deep. Prunes, spice and leather. This wine seems to be drying out and has probably been kept a year or two too long. Still quite smooth and enjoyable.
February 8, 2023 - Final bottle from a 6 pack, last had a bottle about 10 mos ago.
This CdP was mature and lovely this evening, with ample notes of black cherry pie, espresso grounds, and warm cooking spices.
This wine is at the end of it's life but still very nice, with softening tannins and medium acidity. Drink up.
May 4, 2022 - Penultimate of 6 bottles, showed nicely tonite.
Red and black fruits, some pepper and anise, a bit of cooking spice. Nice and maturing, drink up.
March 19, 2022 - Such a great cdp…let this go a little too long. Slight in bottle oxidation added some off putting caramel flavors . My bad here .

September 14, 2021 - consistent with previous note, but improving in depth and balance.
August 22, 2021 - 3rd of 6 bottles. Last bottle was 1.5 yrs ago.
Seems advanced and entering an OTH phase to me; slightly maderized and acetic, with balsamic tones over cooked blackberry pie fruit.
Good complexity, ripe tannins, and moderate acidity...just nearing the end of the drinking window, IMHO. Drink sooner rather than later.
February 5, 2021 - rich dark cherry and a bit of plum fruit, lots of earth, mushroom, bacon fat and leather. Complex, smooth, drinking very well but likely to improve over the next couple of years.
January 31, 2021 - A huge wine, booming with dark fruit. Not especially sophisticated, but just the ticket for Mrs H on a Friday evening.
